Stand Up, Speak Out  Anti Bullying Campaign (March 19th-March 23rd). Please click on the link for details about activities led by our amazing AVID students throughout the week.

Information for link below:

Monday (3/19): Make A difference Monday
Take a moment to find facts and resources throughout campus about bullying and the impact it has on others, and how you can make a difference.  Don’t forget to look out for Avid Representatives handing out #StandupSpeakout stickers

Tuesday (3/20): Misfit Sock Day (Wear Crazy Socks)
Celebrate our differences and take a stand against bullying by wearing misfit socks with a purpose: to celebrate what makes us different. Many kids hide their differences for fear of being bullied. Taking a stand as a school community sends a strong message that DIFFERENCES MATTER. Keep an eye out for chalk quotes all across campus.

Wednesday (3/21) : White out Bullying Wednesday ( Wear White T-shirts)
Make an effort to stop bullying on our campus and online. Lunch Time Activity: Come add your hand-print to our visual poster to symbolize taking action on our campus  as you pledge to white out bullying.

Thursday (3/22): Thoughtful Thursday
Your words matter, they can lift others up or tear them down.  Join us in bringing kindness to others by taking an extra effort in being thoughtful today. Look for the yellow balloons to receive a compliment and continue the chain reaction by giving a compliment to someone else. Come to Sandy Hook Assembly and keep an open mind this Thoughtful Thursday!

Friday (3/23): Nighthawk Family Friday
As a Nighthawk family lets come together and pledge to stand up and speak out against bullying.  Together with your Nighthawk homeroom family decorate your door with an anti-bullying theme and message.  Winning room will be entered into a raffle for a prize!
